Psychological wellness is achieved when you become a fully functional person who is capable of maintaining harmonious relationships with others. I use an integrative approach to counselling where interventions are tailored to your unique needs.
I believe that nurturing conditions of empathy and compassion highlighted in Person-Centered Therapy can help you create change, and this is the basis of my therapy.
As a Solution-Focused therapist, I trust that positive change occurs when you focus on solutions rather than problems. In counselling, we work together to help you find solutions to your problems.
Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) is another approach I apply in my practice as I believe that thoughts affect emotions and behaviour. I help you challenge negative thoughts and behaviours in counselling and this may lead to insight, positive change, and new ways of thinking and living.
I teach Dialectic Behaviour Therapy (DBT) skills to clients who struggle with distress tolerance, emotional regulation, and difficulties in interpersonal relationships.
