Dr. Vandana D'Sena

Registered Doctoral Psychologist

Dr. Vandana D’Sena is a doctoral-level registered psychologist who works with clients in Saskatchewan and Alberta. She has over ten years of clinical experience, helping children, teens, adults, and seniors navigate emotional, behavioural, and relational difficulties. Vandana has worked in a variety of settings, including academic, community agencies, and group-care programs. She supports people dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, loss, attachment, relationship concerns, and stress in both work and personal life.

 

In addition to counselling, Vandana has completed hundreds of psychological assessments in areas such as autism, ADHD, learning and intellectual disabilities, and PTSD. Her doctoral research examined the diagnostic challenges of autism in females compared to males, reflecting her specialized focus in this field.

 

Vandana earned her Doctor of Psychology degree from California Southern University and her Master of Counselling degree from the University of Lethbridge, Alberta. She has worked with students at the University of Regina and currently provides assessments for the Learning Disabilities Association of Saskatchewan (LDAS). In her private practice, Vandana also accepts WCB Saskatchewan clients. Alongside her private practice, she teaches graduate courses in the Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology (MACP) program at Yorkville University. She is registered with both the Saskatchewan College of Psychologists and the College of Alberta Psychologists, and is a member of the Psychological Association of Saskatchewan and the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association. Vandana is also an approved provider under Health Canada’s Non-Insured Health Benefits (NIHB) program for First Nations and Inuit mental health services.
